Aubrey Organics Green Tea Shampoo & Cream Rinse

One of the best brands on the market for natural beauty products is Aubrey Organics. They make a wide variety of products, but one of the things I love most is their hair care line. The quality of the shampoos and conditioners is fabulous - and at a great price too!

The Company

Aubrey Organics was founded by Aubrey Hampton. Aubrey got his interest in natural remedies from his mother who was an herbalist. He started to experiment with homemade beauty mixtures that eventually gained much popularity.

Aubrey Organics is one of those beauty product lines that have a cult following. It's easy to see why - not only are these products made from the best available ingredients, they actaully work as promised. It's easy to want to spend money on something that delivers on its promises time after time!

My Experience with Aubrey Organics

I'm not quite sure how I stumbled across this amazing brand, but I'm really glad I did! I've tried several of their products to date, and I keep coming back to them. The quality is outstanding! Let me show you what I mean...

Currently I'm using the Green Tea Shampoo and Cream Rinse. At the risk of losing a days worth of product, I poured a little bit of each out onto a plate to show you. On the left is the Shampoo, and on the right is the Cream Rinse.

One of the first things you might notice is the colors and textures. These are high quality products. No fillers or foamers here. The Cream Rinse actually smells like Green Tea (in a good way - not too overpowering!). Although the Shampoo looks somewhat thin in the picture, it is actually rather concentrated. You don't need a lot of either product to get the job done!

Since Aubrey Organics does not use petroluem based foaming agents in their hair products, these products may take a little time to get used to if this is your first run with natural hair care. You won't have lots of bubbles on your head while using these. But that's a good thing! Once you see the results, you won't really care too much about the bubbles anymore!

A final note on these products - they make take some time to see true results. Aubrey's shampoos and conditioners are designed to repair your hair. If you have significant damage due to blow drying, styling creams or dyes, it might take a few weeks before you start to notice a difference. That's ok. The products are working, they just take a little bit of time. Most natural things do : )

How to Buy

Aubrey Organics offers a range of hair care products to meet most people's needs. The lines include:

• Dry Hair
• Normal Hair
• Oily Hair
• Special Care (including swim & dandruff products)

The lines are specifically designed for the type of hair they address, so pick carefully. For example, the dry hair line features products with a lot more oils and moisturizers - not something oily hair people want weighing down their hair! On the other hand, the oily hair line is designed to add volume and complement your hair's natural shine.

If one Aubrey product leaves you longing for more, don't be afraid to try another. I started off with the Egyptian Henna line and eventually switched over to the Green Tea line. I feel the Green Tea line works better for me. I'd even go so far as to say that it makes the color of my hair stand out more! Either way I'm still using high quality products.

Aubrey Organics do not use parabens or sodium lauryl sulfate. They feel that there is no need for these ingredients in their products. They also do not test on animal - another plus!

Unlike so many great natural beauty brands, I've been able to find Aubrey Organics in my local grocery store. Sometimes they do not have the specific product I am looking for, and thus I must make a trip to Whole Foods. Many health food stores and online vitamin stores carry them. Or you can buy Aubrey Organics right from the company website!

As for price - $10 may seem like a lot for shampoo for some people. However you really are paying for a quality product. Like I mentioned before, you don't need a large amount of product, so one bottle will last you a decent amount of time.
