Nature's Guide to Lucious Lips!

Tired of sore, chapped lips? Look no further than Mother Nature for a few lip care pointers! Lip Care

The skin on our lips needs care just as much as the skin the rest of your body! Popular products for lip care or decoration include lip gloss, chapstick or lipstick. However not all of these lip care products are created equal.

Many lip care products today are made with petroleum products. Petroleum is known to dry out our skin - thus the products you are using to moisturize your lips may actually be causing them to become more dry! It can be a vicious cycle, however by switching to natural lip care products, you can break free! Click here to learn about natural solutions to damaged lips!

Lip care products always seem to be readily available in grocery stores, drug stores, and a variety of other shopping outlets. Because of the size of the product, lip care products are often placed right by the check out counter. The retailer is attempting to get you to add on to your original purchase, however don't be tempted by sub par products simply because of convience or impluse! Another great thing about lip care products is that you can easily make them at home! In this way you can play around with different colors, textures and scents. You can also be sure of what is actually going into your creations! Click here for a sample of lip gloss recipes!

My top lip care pointer: Less is often more! For a long time I was always using lip products. My lips were so chapped that I would apply products every few hours or so! Then I realized that maybe using less product would be better...

Now I only apply Burt's Bees chapstick once before bed. This allows my lips to soak in the mositurizer without getting interrupted by taking a drink or eating food. In the winter I will ocassionaly apply lip gloss in the mornings on my way to work.

But overall - keep it simple! Your body was built to keep itself hydrated - often we don't need as many products as we think we do!

Welcome!
